Ook in mijns gelijke, zijns gelijke, haars gelijke enz. behouden de woorden mijns, zijns enz., die de objectieve genitieven zijn van de personalia ik, hij enz. en door gelijke geregeerd worden, geheel en al hunne eigene beteekenis, evenzeer als dit gesubstantiveerde adjectief. Er is dus evenmin reden om mijns enz. aan gelijke te hechten, als om mijner en onzer aan erbarmen, gedenken of schamen te verbinden in: Hij heeft zich mijner erbarmd; Wil mijner gedenken; »Zoo zullen we Uwer ons nooit schamen” enz.
